It’s odd who you meet on the street, Nestled away in a park or a shop. Not so much hidden, but obscured in anonymity. These strange but interesting characters that are all but left out by the social stereotype like Mr W. Chilton a regular to Hanley Park he spends his afternoons gathering up the tagged pigeons and returning them to their owners.
It’s not just hidden characters but those that you fall upon by chance like the ex pat Keith Tilke who left England 22 years ago for Australia and became a chief designer for the Amaroo car company designing the notable Amaroo clubman. I met him on a return trip to Dovedale, where he used to spend many of his childhood years.
i suppose the moral of this story (blog) is to observe the
unobserved, look deeper than the surface and enjoy yourself
whilst doing it.
